Thank you for your excellent presentation of CHARLES LINDBERGH: THE LONE EAGLE as part of our Chipola Artist Series. Students and town folk alike were totally engaged and one could barely hear a pin drop throughout your entire performance. I thought the PowerPoint of Lindbergh family pictures and well placed sound effects enhanced your already strong one man play. Thank you again for coming and for sharing this historical figure with us. It was not only entertaining but very educational as well.
I think you are helping to bring a kind of realism to the public image of my father, precisely because you don’t do the portrayal of him as others have done. It is different, and it is deeper. It makes people think. This is very difficult, and you do it very well. One of the reasons, ironically, is that you do not try to “reproduce” my father. Instead, you try to understand him, and then to represent him.
It’s a gift, and it means a lot to me. Thank you!

To me the real value in your production was how you brought history and the values of the early 1900s to life. I am sure that all of those who were in attendance can now say they know who Charles Lindbergh was, and more importantly could tell you what he did and stood for. Thanks for a great show. I am sorry that we did not have more time to show you more of our lovely state. I look forward to seeing you and your lovely wife in the future. Have a wonderful Spring.
Mr. Carroll performed the play on Saturday, May 3 and a matinee on Sunday, May 4. On both occasions he received a rousing standing ovation. He BECAME Charles Lindbergh and was there to set the record straight about his life. Afterwards, he answered numerous questions and expounded on areas concerning Lindbergh’s family, finances, and observations appropriate to his thinking at the time of his life. It was very apparent that Mr. Carroll is both an exceptional writer and actor, and had done his homework and performed expressively, efficiently, effectively and exquisitely!! A must-see!!
What Others Are Saying
Your one-man show, CHARLES LINDBERGH: THE LONE EAGLE, was a joy to watch and present! Across the board, patron feedback was extremely positive and heartfelt. There is no question our patrons were thoroughly enamored and entranced with your performance and, I’m sure, all of the fascinating information about Charles Lindbergh. I have no doubt that other than his transcontinental flight and his son’s kidnapping and murder, the audience had little knowledge of the rest of his life which your
show brings to light in an extremely entertaining and professionally performed manner.
